For almost 30 years the Green Owl restaurant has been a Delray Beach eatery with great success. Now the owners have opened a 2nd location at 1889 W. Woolbright Rd. in Boynton Beach. David Gensman has worked at the Green Owl since 1983 and took it over in 1985. The restauarant is open 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. - Monday - Friday. 7:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. - noon Sunday. The Green Owl is known for its breakfast specials, most notably the Big Breakfast of 3 eggs, 2 bacon strips, 1 sausage, home fries or grits and hotcakes or toast for $6.95.
The new location is 1350 square feet and gives the same great service as the Delray location. These owners also have ties to Pittsburgh,, PA and big steeler fans.
